The six-year-old South Taranaki girl critically injured in Monday's fatal school bus and car crash along State Highway 3 which claimed one life has been released from intensive care.
Larissa Amelie Sirch, 20, an au pair from Germany was killed at the scene while the young girl was flown to Wellington hospital by the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter.
Hawera police senior sergeant Blair Burnett said he understood the six-year-old has since been released to a general ward and is doing well.
Au Pair Link founder and director Cecilia Robinson aims to set up a donation programme for both the victims' families.
