A young girl received minor injuries after she was hit by a car while on a pedestrian crossing in Waitara this morning.
Constable Ben Siffleet said the girl was using the crossing, near Waitara East School, about 8.30am when she was hit.
Mr Siffleet said the driver stopped and offered assistance to the girl.
Police inquiries were continuing.
