A tramper needed rescuing from Mt Taranaki on Saturday after he lost his way.

A spokesman for the Taranaki Community Rescue Helicopter said the 50-year-old man had set off his locator beacon after getting lost.

He was found near Holly Hutt, between Skinner Hill and Carrington Ridge.

He had no injuries, and was taken back to the helicopter base, where he was met by his wife.

Will Aaron Cruden's omission hurt or help the All Blacks?

Hurt - he needs as much game time as possible.

Help - finally Beauden Barrett will get a proper run.

Hmmm - no biggie, just a temporary hitch.

Who is Cruden? I support the All Whites.
