Truckies are warning all motorists to beware of an unstable slip on Mt Messenger.

A meeting with authorities today will decide what action to take to ensure the essential economic link on State Highway 3 remains open, the Road Transport Association said yesterday.

The slip, marked by cones and surrounded by concrete abutments to capture the smaller debris, is being closely monitored 24 hours a day by contractors.

It is on the northern side of the summit and has been ongoing for about two weeks.

Sell a portion of them.
