Thieves are continuing to target power tools around New Plymouth with another burglary in the early hours of this morning.

A rear door of the Norwood Farm Machinery Centre, Gill St, was jemmied open about 1am and the thieves made off with a number of chainsaws, Constable Julie Douglas said.

Ms Douglas said it was not known how many chainsaws had been stolen in the burglary as the investigation was in its early stages.

It's the sixth burglary targeting power tools reported to police since Christmas, four residential building sites had been broken into and last week thieves stole a number of power tools from The Stihl Tool Shop on Molesworth St.

Ms Douglas said police wanted to hear from anyone who had information about the burglaries or had seen anything suspicious in the area.

Will Aaron Cruden's omission hurt or help the All Blacks?

Hurt - he needs as much game time as possible.

Help - finally Beauden Barrett will get a proper run.

Hmmm - no biggie, just a temporary hitch.

Who is Cruden? I support the All Whites.
