The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, scratched the winning ticket in Sandfords Four Square.

"I was in shock - I stood there looking like a stunned mullet.

"The store attendant even offered me a chair."

She plans to use the prize money to pay off her car and treat herself and her family.

"I will probably go out and buy some of those things I've always wanted but couldn't afford, like a pair of new leather boots.

"I'll also buy my kids a washing machine, as they keep bringing their laundry round for me to do!"

"It's a lovely, lovely bonus. I've only ever won two raffles in my whole life."

The lower drink-driving limits from December are:

Great - too much carnage on our roads.

Overkill - targets moderate drinkers, not the heavies

Still too little - make it zero tolerance.

Sensible - punishment is in line with lesser breaches of limit.
