Parking will be in short supply at North Egmont Visitors Centre on Saturday because of the Taranaki Alpine Club's annual open climb.
Mountain guide Ian McAlpine warned that visitors to the park will be lucky to get a car park after 7.30am.
He said the open climb day had been chaotic over the past few years. Visitors would be wise to postpone plans to use the national park until Sunday, he said.
