Police are seeking information from the public about missing gift cards.

Constable Campbell Coulton, of Hawera, said The Warehouse gift cards had been sent from an out of town address as gifts earlier this year but never reached their intended recipients.

Mr Coulton said a person made purchases at The Warehouse Hawera twice during January using the missing gift cards.

Police would like to speak to him as soon as possible and would appreciate any information from the public that might help identify him.

People can contact the Hawera police on (06) 278 0260 or the New Plymouth police on (06) 759 5500.

The lower drink-driving limits from December are:

Great - too much carnage on our roads.

Overkill - targets moderate drinkers, not the heavies

Still too little - make it zero tolerance.

Sensible - punishment is in line with lesser breaches of limit.
