New Plymouth couple Helen and Huw Griffiths kissed to win $1000 in travel vouchers.

New Plymouth couple Helen and Huw Griffith spent Valentines Day morning with their lips locked.

The couple beat three other couples in a longest kiss competition to win themselves $1000 of travel vouchers in the More FM and House of Travel Kissin' to go Trippin' competition.

The Griffiths were announced winners for their time of one hour and 50 minutes. The couple, married for 20 years, said not a lot of practice was needed prior to the event. Runner-ups Tae Luke-Hurley and Bryden Soper, of New Plymouth, won a $100 voucher.
