Stratford conman Steven Francis Younger bled trusting vulnerable elderly people of their hard earned nest eggs, he was told in the New Plymouth District Court today.
The judge said he found Younger's fleecing of three elderly victims of $273,000 "unspeakably sad".
"You are a family man and a church man but you are dishonest through and through," Judge Gerard Lynch said.
Younger, 45, was sentenced to 28 months in jail and ordered to pay reparation. He is still to be resentenced after dropping any appeal on an earlier community based sentence for similar offending.
