Wrong course

There will be times in our lives when we have to put up with some discomfort and perhaps pain. But most of us do not go running off to the newspaper to gain publicity and notoriety in an effort to have our five minutes of fame and blame others.

Both my wife and I have had colonscopies and gastroscopies and have nothing but praise for the professionalism of the staff.

Why did Erlene Taylor, Goldie Fieldes and Janice Stone not address their concerns through the proper procedures that are outlined to every patient? In that way they could have received proper redress.

Apparently it is more important to be in the press than to address their concerns to get a satisfactory outcome.

If Mrs Fieldes was stupid enough not to have sedation that was her choice. One cannot cure stupidity!

During the last few months I have been a regular user of the hospital services, including surgery.

I cannot fault either the procedures or personnel. I am just very grateful for all concerned.

Out of 1426 a little pain was felt by three patients. Get real and count your blessings
