A New Plymouth jury took under four hours to find a man not guilty of a serious assault charge yesterday.
Mawene Bidois, 25, had been on trial before Judge Allan Roberts and a jury in the New Plymouth District Court facing a charge of assaulting his former partner with intent to injure her on July 14 last year.
The jury began its deliberations just after 10am yesterday and had returned its not guilty verdict before 2pm.
