Nothing short of pathetic!

The Farnham/Richie concert was amazing and we loved it!

We opted to pay the extra for the seated area and a hamper valued at $65.

After a 45-minute wait at two different kiosks I'm told no wine is allowed in our seated area. I'm given four beers (I don't drink beer) and my hamper. Back at my seat we discover we have been given the wrong hamper. I accept this rather than endure another long wait, only to spy a woman two seats away with wine.

The excuse ''the caterers were overwhelmed at the start'' is nothing short of pathetic! As frequent customers we are appalled by the catering yet again!

Another world-class event, spoilt by the inadequacy of the preferred New Plymouth District Council catering outfit.

How can they profess to be overwhelmed? This excuse has been used before.

Did they not understand it would be a large crowd? What if it had of been a sell-out crowd? How much worse would it have been?

To state ''we'll take it on the chin and get it right next time", well we may choose not to attend anymore, opting instead to go to concerts in other districts recommended by friends whom "highly rate" the catering.

Believe it or not the food and drinks are part of the experience.

How many of our out of town guests endured this woeful catering experience?
