The heavy lift vessel Talisman carrying the jack-up drilling rig Ensco 107 arrived off Port Taranaki this morning.
The vessel, which has sailed from Singapore, will clear customs before heading to Admiralty Bay at the northern end of the South Island where the drilling rig will be removed.
Port Taranaki tug Tukana will then tow the rig back to Taranaki where it will be used by OMV to drill in the Maari field.
