Waitara Gymsports gymnasts returned from the Argos Artistic Gymnastics competition at Hamilton last weekend with a haul of 24 medals and 35 top three apparatus placings.

In Step 8, Emma Larsen won gold in the all-round competition and on apparatus day won gold on beam and floor and silver on vault and bar.

For Step 6, Olivia Eiffe won the silver medal and Taylah Dagg bronze. Katie Neild took out the gold medal in Step 3, while Laura Jones was fifth, and they were joined by their team members Angel Ladbrook and Sarah Allen to win team gold by three points.

The winning continued for the Step 2 over gymnasts with Charlotte Giddy winning gold, Claudia McKillop silver, Serenity Pihama fourth and Ruby Hooper fifth.

In the under division Caitlin Adamson placed fourth. The team of Adamson, Giddy, McKillop and Josie Potroz won gold. Step 1 rounded out the weekend in the unders division with H Dixon winning gold and in the overs division Lahni Kuklinski won gold and Jessica Yates was fifth. Dixon, Kuklinski, Yates and Jessica Knowles-Piggot won the gold team medal.

The event drew 500 gymnasts from all over the North Island.
