New Plymouth Old Boys will host Inglewood and Coastal will welcome Clifton for next week's semifinals after a dramatic last day of round robin play in Taranaki premier rugby.

Inglewood were 17-0 down to Old Boys at the TET Stadium but fought back to grab a bonus point in their 31-25 loss, thanks mainly to three tries from lock Mark Neilson.

However, the loss saw them drop a place to fourth and book a rematch with Old Boys, this time at Vogeltown Park.

It had looked like Inglewood had snuck in to the playoffs by just a point when Spotswood United led Tukapa 18-17 with just seconds to play.

A last gasp drop goal to Tukapa got them a 20-17 win and moved them up to fifth.

Coastal appeared to be cruising at 18-0 up at halftime away to Clifton before a second half comeback saw the home side win 26-18.

Clifton dominated the second half from start to finish, although they have a powerful scrum to thank for the win.

Despite the loss, Coastal will welcome Clifton out to Rahotu next Saturday.

The remaining game saw Southern beat Stratford 14-6. The loss means Stratford go through the season without a win.

Is Ma'a Nonu returning to the Hurricanes ...

A great move, he's still world class

Okay for one season, but no more

Depriving a more deserving player of a contract

Great for the All Blacks but of no use to Canes

Hmmm, I'll vote in 12 months' time
