The Aramoho Rowing Club successfully defended the John's Trophy teams event at the Clifton Rowing Club's regatta on Saturday at Waitara.
The Wanganui club showed its intentions early, taking out the first event on the programme - the men's club coxless quad - before adding the open men's four and men's under-16 eight to its list of wins.
More than 150 rowers and coxswains battled it out in ideal weather conditions.
Clifton won the final event of the day, the mixed eight, to win the Peter Lucas Cup, adding the women's club four to lift the Grace Thrush shield.
Wanganui Collegiate crews ruled many of the age group events in novice fours, eights and quads. Next Saturday, Aramoho will host Clifton and the lower North Island clubs in Wanganui for the Jury Cup regatta.
