The last 1500 grandstand seats for the All Blacks-Ireland rugby test on June 12 were snapped up by midday yesterday.

Only a few single seats in the two stands at Yarrow Stadium remain, while the temporary seating in front of both stands has all but sold out.

And tickets for the seating at the southern end of the ground were disappearing fast.

"It's been huge this morning," said Ticket Direct seller Maree Gibbins yesterday. "They were queued up when we opened at nine and we had a constant stream of people all morning. It wasn't until 11.40 that we had no one in the foyer."

Taranaki Rugby commercial manager Geoff Hitchcock said the seating at the ground was nearly sold out.

"There's only a few singles scattered around the grandstands left. About 1500 tickets went on sale this morning and only a handful remain," he said.

"There's a few seats left on the temporary seating and, if you want tickets as a group, there's still room on the southern terraces."

Covered grandstand seating ranged in price from $80 uncovered, up to the gold covered seating at $125, with the two stands holding 8500 people. Temporary seating in front of the grandstand sold for $65, with the southern seating at $50.

Hitchcock said there was still plenty of ground tickets available, at $40 for an adult and $15 for a child 15 years or under.

"There's been a great response and I expect the game to be sold."

Ground capacity for the test is 25,500.
