New Plymouth Boys' High School blindside flanker Josh Dowsing scored a hat-trick of tries as the first XV thrashed Wanganui Collegiate 55-0 in Whanganui yesterday.

Up 13-0 at halftime, New Plymouth made best use of the wet and windy conditions to grind their opposition down.

The New Plymouth scrum was dominant from the outset as Wanganui were put under huge pressure, allowing first five-eighth Jamie Sandford to play off the front foot for almost the entire 80 minutes.

New Plymouth captain Lachlan Boshier scored a brace of tries in another good performance. The New Plymouth second XV also had a good win, beating their Collegiate counterparts 26-0.

Will Aaron Cruden's omission hurt or help the All Blacks?

Hurt - he needs as much game time as possible.

Help - finally Beauden Barrett will get a proper run.

Hmmm - no biggie, just a temporary hitch.

Who is Cruden? I support the All Whites.
