Girls' High make top four

New Plymouth Girls' High School have made the top four at the Audrey Timlin national secondary schoolgirls' hockey tournament in Blenheim.

Yesterday, New Plymouth beat Marlborough Girls' College 6-1 to make the semifinals. New Plymouth had a good start, with Tasmin Jury scoring twice in the first four minutes, and added a further three goals before halftime.

Nikita Kolose converted a penalty corner and Kendall Garrud scored two field goals.

Marlborough pulled one back early in the second half before Kolose added another penalty corner goal. New Plymouth play Nga Tawa in the semifinals today.
