Francis Douglas Memorial College will play the top Wellington school for a place in the national primary school Twenty20 final this month.
The New Plymouth school scored comfortable wins in the knockout competition against Wanganui and Havelock North in Wanganui on Monday.
Francis Douglas skittled Wanganui for 35 runs, with Jacob Richards (3-2) and Robson Chapman (2-7) the leading bowling. Francis Douglas strolled to victory without losing a wicket, Chapman scoring an unbeaten 26.
Francis Douglas dismissed Havelock North for 84, with Chapman (2-10), Matthew Allen (2-14) and Richards (2-10) the best of the bowlers. Francis Douglas reached the target in the 19th over, with Sam Polesmith (24 not out) and Jensen Taumoepeau (21 not out) leading the scoring.
