Hawera's Jason Gunn snapped up another win with a gutsy late attack in the Hawera Cycling Club's Opunake-Oeo Road handicap event on Saturday.

Gunn clocked 1hr 49min 54sec for the 53km trip and was chased home by team-mates Gillian Danson and Graeme Bycroft, who claimed second and third, 1sec and 2sec, respectively, behind the winner.

While Gunn sealed the overall victory, it was left to scratch-man Grant Deam to take fastest time of 1:31:5 from break's Peter Schrafft (1:32:48) and Robbie Colville (1:32.49).

A great move, he's still world class

Okay for one season, but no more

Depriving a more deserving player of a contract

Great for the All Blacks but of no use to Canes

Hmmm, I'll vote in 12 months' time
