A total of 26 local drivers had mixed results before rain cut short the Kartsport Goldstar series meeting at Waitara on Sunday.

The meeting was called off with two rounds to go due to flooding on the track.

The Taranaki drivers took all three podium spots in the Rotax Max Light class. Scott Williams and Logan Boyde finished first and second, while Thomas Boniface and Zane Riddick were the best in the three junior classes, recording second placings with solid driving.

Taranaki's junior Yamaha class competitors suffered damage in the atrocious conditions which denied them podium finishes. The next round will be in Hawke's Bay on March 3.

Opinion poll

Will Aaron Cruden's omission hurt or help the All Blacks?

Hurt - he needs as much game time as possible.

Help - finally Beauden Barrett will get a proper run.

Hmmm - no biggie, just a temporary hitch.

Who is Cruden? I support the All Whites.
