Taranaki thrashed Whanganui in an under-15 boys' representative cricket match at Whanganui on Sunday.
Taranaki batted first and made 267-6 in their 50 overs, with Sam Morrison leading the scoring and finishing the innings unbeaten on 74.
Shaun Phillips (71) and Olle Polson (23 not out) were other leading run makers, with Morrison and Polson combining in a partnership of 90 for the seventh wicket.
In reply, Whanganui were dismissed for 60 in the 37th over.
Taylor Williams (3-10), Luke Dravitzki (3-17) and Davis Mills (2-9) were Taranaki's leading wicket takers.
