Taranaki took first-innings points on day one of their two-day match against Manawatu at the Central Districts under-15 cricket tournament in Masterton yesterday.

Taranaki made 141 batting first with Luke Dravitzki scoring 67 and Bryton Northcott- Hill 37.

Taranaki then dismissed Manawatu for 102, the chief wicket-takers being Shaun Sullivan with 2-16, Dravitzki 2-26 and Ollie Polson 3-3.

At stumps Taranaki were 39-2 with Bailey Wisnewski unbeaten on 19.
