Top order batsman Dean Robinson is the sole Taranaki representative named in the Central Districts A (2nd XI) cricket team to play in next month's national provincial tournament at Lincoln University, near Christchurch.

Robinson has already played a handful of matches for the Central Stags this season.

The A team to play five 50-over matches and three Twenty/20 games from January 2 to 9 is: Roald Badenhorst, BJ Barnett (captain), Greg Hay, Andrew Lamb, Andrew Mathieson, Connor Neynens, Ajaz Patel, Jeet Raval, Dean Robinson, Bevan Small, Ben Smith, Michael Taiaroa; non-travelling reserves are: Matthew Bacon, Jo O'Connor, Seb Langridge, David Meiring; coach, Andrew Cavill; manager, Craig Ross.
