Max Shearer with 48 stableford points led a New Plymouth team to victory in the annual Arnold Palmer junior open tournament at the New Plymouth Golf Club on Friday.
The 11-year-old, along with Matthew Allen, Daniel Lundt and Alex Lundt, finished with a total of 127 stableford points to win the Arnold Palmer Putter.
The best three of four scores count. Manaia's Caitlin Reardon finished with 42 points, the best stableford score in the girls' competition.
The best gross in the boys' division was a two-under par 70 by Westown's Des Wilcox, with Manaia 11-year-old Tineka Kumeroa shooting 78 in the girls' division.
