New Plymouth's Paul Feltoe successfully completed a 40km swim across Lake Taupo at the weekend.

Feltoe, 39, took 13 1/2 hours to complete the swim after leaving Turangi at 5.30am.

Planning for the swim took several months, with Feltoe training up to six hours in the pool covering 20km distances.

His support crew included Tony McLean, Colin Feltoe, guide Peter Cook and Jacqui Knight.

Will Aaron Cruden's omission hurt or help the All Blacks?

Hurt - he needs as much game time as possible.

Help - finally Beauden Barrett will get a proper run.

Hmmm - no biggie, just a temporary hitch.

Who is Cruden? I support the All Whites.
