Robert Steele is back on the winning track once again. The former international showjumping rider and Hawera dairy farmer steered the perennial Gospel to top honours in the horse grand prix at the one star Dannevirke A&P show at Dannivirke during the weekend.
A total of 13 combinations started the class, with just six going through to the jump-off, with Steele, a late entry in the class, going on to take the victory.
New Plymouth's Lydia Quay, riding Kaipara Double Dee, was fourth.
