Eight records tumbled at the Egmont Athletics club night, which doubled as the Athletics Taranaki 5km walk championships on Tuesday night.
Mike Morresey (Egmont) walked his way to the men's 40 record in a smart 24min 22.52sec, while Des Phillips smashed the men's 60 B grade record by six minutes with a time of 30m 45.75sec.
Katie Morresey-Tahere destroyed the women's 40 B grade record by an impressive 10 minutes, clocking 33min 41.05sec.
Records were set by John Payne in the men's 65 B grade of 32min 54.48sec and Joy Baker in the women's 60 B grade of 38min 23.83sec.
In the club championships 300m hurdles, Phillips lowered his own men's 60 Taranaki record to 55.50sec. The weight championship throw event saw Payne extend his own men's 65 record by more than a metre to 8.08m.
Baker threw 8.10m in the women's 60 grade, bettering her own record by more than a half a metre.
