Francis Douglas Memorial College will play Woodleigh in the Taranaki Twenty20 premier grade final at New Plymouth's Pukekura Park on Sunday afternoon.
Francis Douglas beat New Plymouth Marist United by 10 runs at Lynmouth Park on Tuesday.
Batting first, the school side made 120, with Daniel Bernet scoring 46 off 28 balls and Sam Fastier 23 off 25 balls.
Sam Wells was the best of the United bowlers, with three for 25.
United managed 110 for eight, with Dean Robinson leading the way with 68 off 63 balls, hitting six fours and three sixes. Shaun Sullivan took two for 14 off four overs.
Woodleigh advanced to the final with a convincing win over New Plymouth Old Boys at Western Park. Batting first, Woodleigh made 137 for six, with Moritz Hartman scoring 28 and Hayden Whiting 21. The best of the Old Boys' bowlers was James McDougall, with three for 21.
Woodleigh's opening bowlers, Simon Bird and Robert McLeod, ripped through the Old Boys' top order, reducing the home side to eight for four after four overs.
Bird finished with four for 18 off four overs. Jamie Watkins top scored for Old Boys, making 43 as the side made it through to 101.
