Southern One has won the Dewar Shield sevens tournament, beating Spotswood United 31-12 in the final in Hawera at the weekend.


 In semifinal play, Southern One beat Inglewood 24-10 while Spotswood United proved too strong for Coastal, winning 22-7.

The colts event was won by Palmerston North Boys' High School Two, with Eltham-Kaponga finishing second in the round-robin competition.
