New Plymouth has been confirmed as the host of six FIFA under-20 World Cup matches in 2015.
The games will include a final 16 match and will be played at Stadium Taranaki (Yarrow Stadium), with the tournament running from May 30 to June 20 attracting the best 24 teams in world football.
With 52 matches, the tournament will be broadcast to more than 100 countries and a global television audience of more than 170 million people, providing exposure for the tournament, the host cities, and New Zealand on a massive scale.
It's a major sporting coup for New Plymouth and Taranaki.
