Enele Fidow had a first half to remember for the Bell Block Marist Dragons.

In contrast to last week's close games, both Saturday's Lile Shield rugby league matches were one-sided as the Bell Block Marist Dragons thrashed the Waitara Bears while the Coastal Cobras overwhelmed the Western Suburbs Tigers.

On a beautiful winter afternoon, the Dragons hosted a depleted Waitara Bears side at Hickford Park, and it didn't take long for the Dragons to fire into their work - scoring early.

They continued to score at will through some stunning play by Enele Fidow in the centres. He laid on four tries for his winger Brad Graham and scored three himself.

To cap off an outstanding half, he also kicked six goals for a personal haul of 24 points. It was a-point-a-minute stuff as the Dragons went to the break 44-0 up.

The second half started in the same fashion as the Dragons continued to pile on the points with three more tries to lead 58-0 but the Bears finally got their act together and scored three tries of their own through some enterprising play but is was never going to be enough as the game finished with the two teams trading a try a piece for a final score of 64-18.

For the Dragons, Fidow, who only played the first half, was a standout while Graham's four first-half tries were no mean feat by the veteran. In the forwards, Isaac Heknui and Anthony Kipa were strong while Jonathon Fidow was more than a handful.

For the Bears, young winger Jaynard Barton tried hard, while in the forwards Brent Martin was solid scoring two second-half tries.

In the other match of the weekend, the Tigers hosted the Cobras at Ngamotu Domain and it was a similar story as Coastal continued their good form this season.

The Tigers scored first to lead 4-0 early, but from then on it was all Coastal as they went to the break 34-4 up.

The second half was a more even contest but the Cobras experience showed through as they ran out 52-14 winners in an entertaining game.
