Inglewood's Theresa Strachan was awarded life membership of Netball Taranaki at the annual meeting in Stratford this week.

With 30 years of service, Strachan has vast experience in all areas of the game. From playing, coaching, umpiring and administration, the former Netball Taranaki chairwoman and president has a wealth of knowledge and still provides valuable support.

Three other individuals were recognised for their services.

Netball Taranaki service awards were presented to Stratford's Barbara Digby and Waitara's Maxine Glentworth, with Waitara's Wendy Healey the recipient of a Netball Taranaki satellite volunteer award.

Digby has been an active member of the Stratford netball community for more than 30 years as a player, coach, umpire, technical official and administrator.

Glentworth has played at all levels in the province and her contribution to the game has lasted long beyond her playing years as a coach, manager and administrator.

Healey is a strong supporter of netball in Waitara and Taranaki as a player, coach, manager and administrator.
