Warriors to host SBW in first home game

The Warriors will officially be hosting Sonny Bill Williams in their first home game of 2013, with the announcement of the draw of next year's 26-round NRL season today.

The Warriors will clash with the Roosters at Eden Park on March 16, a week after they open their campaign under new coach Matt Elliott at Parramatta Stadium, against the Eels, in round one.

A Monday night game against the Cowboys at Mt Smart Stadium in round four, on April 1, looms as another interesting early round feature, while the Warriors will once again travel to Melbourne to play the Storm on Anzac Day, in round seven, in what is now an annual feature of the NRL calender.

Another trip to Perth is planned for the Warriors in 2013 - where they will play the Rabbitohs on July 7, in round 17, at Patersons Stadium.

The Warriors home clash against the Bulldogs on May 11 is yet to be listed with a venue. Warriors officials have said that the game is likely to be played outside Auckland - meaning Wellington's WestpacTrust Stadium, Christchurch's AMI Stadium and Hamilton's Waikato Stadium could be in line for NRL footy this year.

The NRL will kick off with a clash between the Roosters and Rabbitohs at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on March 7 - a match that will mark former All Black Williams' first game back in the NRL after controversially walking out on the Bulldogs for rugby in 2008.
