Taranaki rugby player of the year Michael Bent played his first game for Ireland club Leinster at the weekend.

Bent started at tighthead prop in Leinster's comfortable 37-7 win over Zebre in Dublin.

The win moves Leinster up to third on the RadioDirect PRO12 competition.

Bent had made three appearances for Ireland before he even turned out for his new club.
