McDonald's blocks Kiwi ex-employee's blog

The Employment Relations Authority (ERA) has ordered a former McDonald's employee to stop blogging about his work place after an injunction was sought by his employers.
Blogger Michael Davis has since left his job at the Kaitaia fast food restaurant to run his own web design business.
His blog contained details about the conditions of work and the treatment of staff.
He left because he no longer felt comfortable, he said.
"It just got too political."
Kaitaia McDonald's initially reacted to the blog by applying to the ERA for an ex parte injunction.
This would have seen a decision being made without consulting Mr Davis, however, the application was declined. The ERA ruled on January 14 that Mr Davis was to refrain from making any written statements or posting any information on digital media about McDonald's, or any of its staff.
Last month, a Warehouse employee was sacked after posting about her work place on social networking website Bebo.
