Little Geniuses: Kids reveal a future of robots, rockets, Donald Trump and hedgehogs
Their parents may be making a mess of the world – but kids have a few ideas about how to fix it.
A groups of Kiwi children have revealed an entertaining future of robots, rockets, Donald Trump – and hedgehogs.
In partnership with Matilda, the Musical, we convened this panel of little geniuses to reveal what they see in their crystal balls.
For some, it looks grim: "There's going to be more people so that means more wars, Donald Trump's going to take over the world, and we're going to be left sad," says one boy.

But as this video shows, these kids aren't going to sit around and feel sorry for themselves. They have plans to make a difference.
"I wanna be a robot creator," says one girl.
"I'll get them to clean up my mess," says another.
"I would make all the robots malfunction with some water," retorts one boy.
Some of the kids think we will populate new planets as soon as 2020, others thinks it's further off. Some look forward to inter-planetary travel, "when the aliens let us".
Others are quite happy here on Planet Earth – regardless of the hedgehogs and Donald Trump.
Says one girl poignantly: "I like this planet, I never want to come off it."
