Humans do silly things. Whether in real life or virtually, you can't escape them - or the hilarity they can bring to others. Be warned, most of these are not suitable for those easily offended.

Lamebook

Ahh, the Facebook Status. Sometimes informative, sometimes witty, sometimes just a little bit lame.

Lamebook.com is dedicated to the "funniest and lamest of Facebook". Users submit screenshots of status updates from their "friends" - who remain known only by first name - and the result is a collection of embarrassing, crude, and un- politically correct insights into people's lives.

You can vote a post's Lame- ness on the Lameter, and all updates are categorised so you can find similar posts to keep you on the floor in stitches.

Fail Blog

Ever wonder where people who start those office email chains of funny photos find their material? They probably go to Failblog.org. This website posts photos and videos of happenings from around the world that deserve a "fail", whether they are thoughtless, accidental or just plain dim-witted.

From traffic accidents in expensive cars, to news clippings of criminals at their most unintelligent, Fail Blog never ceases to amuse and entertain.

While many posts have adult themes, users can easily click "G-Rated Pics and Movies Only" upon entry to the site.

Texts From Last Night

Text messaging can be a dangerous pastime, especially if inebriated.

Textsfromlastnight.com is dedicated to those embarrassing texts people find in their cell phones' sent box on the morning after a night out.

Categorised by either Best Nights, Worst Nights or Random, text messages posted on this website are all mortifying examples of what happens when the send button is pressed when it probably shouldn't have been.

If you find a text message so hilarious you feel the need to share it with the world, you can even have it made into a T-shirt for US$17.99.

F My Life

"It's funny, it's true, except when it happens to you." FMylife.com operates with this maxim in mind. It's a collection of anecdotes that are likely to happen to anyone, however unfortunate the incident.

Anyone can send in a "FML", which must start with "Today, I" and then go on to divulge something embarrassing and uncanny that ruined their day. On top of being a relief for the person who submits their revelation, FMyLife offers proof screw-ups happen to everyone, all the time.

Engrish

The Engrish.com website contains real and true examples of flawed English from public signs, menus, products and promotional material.

Ad Feedback

Images are not doctored, they are simply found by travellers and sent into the Engrish website to be posted on the 'Brog'.

From genuine spelling mistakes to language translations that don't quite work, the photos posted on Engrish are mockingly crude, rude and often ingeniously funny, too.
