Searches for "porn" and "sex" are common in tweens and even young children, according to recent research.

A list of popular search terms used by teens and children released by anti-virus firm Symantec shows a lot of interest in YouTube, Facebook and Google. But also high on the list are searches for adult material, even in children aged seven and below.

Girls were less interested in searching for adult material than boys. "Sex" and "porn" both turn up in the top 10 boys' searches, but only "sex" shows up in the top 10 girls' searches.

The most popular celebrities searched for include Miley Cyrus (at #16 overall), Lady Gaga (#24) and Lil Wayne (#42).

In the battle of the Twilight hunks, Taylor Lautner (ranked #80) beat out rival heart-throb Robert Pattinson, who didn't break the top 100.

The list is based on 14.6 million searches monitored by Symantec's OnlineFamily.Norton, free software that monitors and can restrict the sites kids visit.
