State-owned internet provider Orcon says it is restoring services after a core router failed this morning, knocking its voice and broadband networks offline nationwide.

A spokesman said the fault occurred this morning, while it was carrying out maintenance work.  The core router had now been fixed and Orcon apologised, he said.
