Hacker activist group Anonymous has exposed the man believed to be responsible for Amanda Todd's suicide.

The 15-year-old Canadian committed suicide on October 10, weeks after posting a moving video of her plight on YouTube.

In a post on Pastebin, Anonymous named the man as Kody Maxson, a 32-year-old former Facebook employee who lives in British Comumbia, Canada.

Anonymous also posted other details of Maxson, including his address.

In its Pastebin post, Anonymous said:

"Anonymous' Identiy Configuration

"Amanda Todd's Punisher

"Extorted amanda todd for pictures. This is the pedophile that social engineered Amanda Todd into supplying him nude pictures".

In a video post which has since been removed from form YouTube for contravening bullying and harassment policies, Anonymous said:

"Dear citizens of our nation. We have brought this announcement forwards solely for the purpose of releasing Amanda Todd's punisher's identity.

"Below, you will find a URL to the man's DOX. In there, you will see various information about said person. Kody maxson is an abomination to our society, and will be punished.

"We Are Anonymous. We Are Legion. We Do Not Forget. We Do Not Forgive. Kody Maxson. Expect us!"
