The founders of the world's "#1 Christian Porn Site" xxxchurch.com are looking to establish a New Zealand branch to take their message of love to adult entertainment expos.

Co-founder Jake Larson, in New Zealand for the first time, is hoping his appearance at the weekend's Parachute Christian music festival at Mystery Creek near Hamilton will be a springboard to establishing a xxxchurch.com branch in New Zealand.

The 10-year-old organisation has helped counsel pornographic actresses out of the industry and treat addicts of pornography through its X3 watch internet accountability software. Its representatives have attended around 70 adult entertainment expos handing out Bibles in the past decade and will attend their first in Australia this year.

"This partnership with Parachute Music is the beginning of what we hope will be a longer term project. We are always open to new opportunities and so if we are invited and able to move into Kiwi porn shows we will definitely do that."

In an online video former pornstar Stephanie Swift, who made more than 300 adult movies between 1994 and 2009, speaks of how xxxchurch.com helped her out of the industry.

"I just got comfortable out in LA and becoming someone that it didn't hurt to be because it hurt to be the person that I was because of (the sexual abuse) what happened to me when I was younger . . . I am still trying to fix myself," she said.

Steve Crow, organiser of the Erotica Expo in several cities across New Zealand, said xxxchurch.com would be welcome to have a stall at his events.

"Everyone is welcome, so certainly I would welcome them at Erotica. I don't treat religion any differently to other business. If they want to be there they would pay to be there and be most welcome as long as they don't force their views on anyone. They would not get any special treatment. Erotica is all about freedom of expression."

"Our mission is about love and not judgement," Mr Larson said.

"Real relationships require work, sacrifice, and mutual affection - porn turns women into objects and removes their humanity."

He said pornography had become sex education for this generation.

"Kids are watching porn (90 per cent of 8-16 year olds have viewed porn online) and becoming addicted at a young age.

"Porn is destroying relationships, breaking up families, and further confusing the next generation on healthy quality relationships."

Gary Evans, mens' pastor at West Hamilton Anglican Parish in Dinsdale who was already aware of the work of xxxchurch.com, said pornography addiction was an increasing problem in society.

"I think it's brilliant these guys are coming to Parachute," he said. "They are definitely not forcing Christianity down people's throats, but showing acceptance."
