The Sanyo 3200 is a solid 2G mobile with some nice features but, value for money, you can find better deals.
The phone is a typical clamshell, a bit on the chunky side. Besides the usual buttons, the keypad has shortcuts to the camera and speakerphone.
The firmware is surprisingly good for a phone at this price. All the functions are just a few buttons away and they're easy to find.
You can scroll through the options for the main menu icons by pressing up or down, then left or right to find what you want.
There's a favourites button from the main screen to quickly hop to particular applications or files.
The external LCD is black and white and shows the time, battery life and signal strength. The main screen is average quality (65K) for the price.
The camera is only 0.3 MP, which will make for pretty forgettable photos, but the quality is decent compared to other VGA cameras. There is no zoom or video.
The camera button on the side lets you snap photos but, strangely, won't activate the camera like it does on most other phones.
You need to use the shortcut button on the keypad to do that.
One neat feature is a small mirror on the exterior that you can use to line up self portraits.
It comes with Bluetooth, Push2Talk and a speakerphone.
Its 10 hours of standby battery life (about 4 of talk time) are average for the price.
It's a pretty good mobile, but unless you want Push2Talk, there are better phones for the price.
The Sanyo 3200 comes in pink and black for $299 from Telecom shops.
