Here's the latest gaming news from around the web.
Top Models Game in the Buff, Too (Kotaku) - Sure, you can get pictures of Warcraft. And sure, you can get nude pictures of Adrianne Curry. But now, through the magic of Twitter, you can get both in one picture.
Who knows why Curry, the first winner of America's Next Top Model, chose to share this, but she did over Twitter last night. Lots of people game in the buff, but not many of them look like her.
Schafer wants more Brutal Legend DLC (eurogamer) - In an interview with GamePro, Brutal Legend director Tim Schafer has said he intends to do more downloadable content (DLC) for both sides of the game.
"We definitely want to do more DLC for both single-player and multiplayer, as well as some tuning patches," he said.
He was a little more evasive when quizzed on the game's sales and reception, both of which were lukewarm. He's "for the most part very happy" with players' and critics' response to the game, and says he hasn't looked at sales numbers yet.
New Super Mario Bros sells 900k in first week in Japan (gamesindustry.biz) - New Super Mario Bros Wii has sold 936,734 units during its first week on sale in Japan, making it the fastest selling week one Wii title in the region to date.
The Famitsu sales figures put the title ahead of previous week one high sellers Super Smash Bros Brawl (816,198), Mario Kart Wii (608,147) and Monster Hunter 3 (582,548).
According to Andriasang, the game sold over 422,000 copies in its first day alone.
The game has performed well in the UK charts too, entering at number three after Assassin's Creed 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Child's Play raises over $1 million for children's charities (gamesindustry.biz) - Child's Play, the community-based games industry charity founded by Penny Arcade comic creators Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, has raised more than USD 1 million just weeks into its latest appeal.
The appeal began in mid November and aims to raise money to buy books, games and toys for hospitals around the world. The total raised currently stands at USD 1,010,680.
"This is Child's Play's seventh year and this is the fastest we have ever gotten to the million dollar mark. Considering everything that's going on, that's just astounding," Krahulik wrote on the Penny Arcade site.
