High Moon Studios and Activision have a Deadpool game in the works.
A popular mercenary in the Marvel comics universe, Deadpool's exploits tend towards the more violent yet less serious end of the comics spectrum.
Disfigured and mentally unstable, he was originally a villain, but has since teamed up with heroes such as Spider-Man, and starred in several of his own series.
Known as the "Merc with a Mouth", Deadpool is famous for his talkative nature, split personality, and tendency to address the reader directly.
From the trailer on the official site, the Deadpool game looks to be a third-person hack-and-slash brawler.
Apparently the only voice actor in the universe, Nolan North will voice the titular mentally-unstable, wise-cracking anti-hero.
High Moon most recently developed their third Transformers game, Fall of Cybertron, and is expected to announce another comic adaptation, Hit-Monkey, this week.
A release date and platforms for Deadpool are yet to be announced.
