The value of New Zealand's information and communication technology (ICT) exports slipped slightly in the 2007 financial year, dropping to $1.53 billion, while domestic sales edged up.
Figures out today from Statistics New Zealand show a 42 per cent decline in exports of ICT-related electronic devices and equipment.
Exports of published software rose 44 per cent to $121 million, while ICT services went up 17 per cent to $410 million.
Domestic sales of ICT goods and services rose 4.2 per cent to $16.7 billion, meaning total ICT sales were up 3.3 per cent to $18.23 billion.
