Peach is the latest, hot social network
The social media landscape is dominated by a few big players but that doesn't stop others from trying to join the party.
Peach is the latest, hot social network that allows simple sharing of photos and text. It's more similiar to Twitter than Facebook but it does have some differences.
The coolest feature is the way you get the attention of your friends. You can wave, "boop" or blow them a kiss, with each one using an emoji. It's also possible to "quarantine" them.
It also allows you to make special posts by using "magic words". Type "here" and you can share your location. Type "shout" to write a few words in big letters on a background colour or use "song" to share whatever's playing right now on our phone. Friends can tap on the song to open it in Apple Music or Spotify.
There is no central "newsfeed" but you can watch your friends update their status in realtime from one screen.
Peach is not a ground-breaking new social network, but it does have some fun features that makes it worth a look - until the next new one comes along.
It is currently only available as an iOS app for iPhones.
