Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder has made five changes to the team that beat the Brumbies for this Sunday's clash with the Reds in Brisbane.

All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw returns to his familiar No 7 position in place of the injured Matt Todd, and will also act as vice-captain for the team, once again led by second five Ryan Crotty.

To accommodate this Jordan Taufua will move into the blindside flanker spot and George Whitelock comes into the reserves. Luke Whitelock retains the No 8 jersey in Kieran Read's absence.

Elsewhere in the pack Corey Flynn replaces Ben Funnell at hooker, who drops to the bench, while lock Luke Romano returns to the starting lineup to take his place alongside Sam Whitelock in the second row.

In the backs Rey Lee-Lo re-enters the midfield, taking the centre spot vacated by Kieron Fonotia after he reaggravated a hamstring injury against the Brumbies.

The Crusaders travel to Brisbane tomorrow.

Crusaders: Israel Dagg, Johnny McNicholl, Rey Lee-Lo, Ryan Crotty (c), Nemani Nadolo, Colin Slade, Andy Ellis; Luke Whitelock, Richie McCaw, Jorda Taufua, Sam Whitelock, Luke Romano, Owen Franks, Corey Flynn, Waytt Crockett.
